ELFF & Ready, Set, Learn
Central Okanagan Public Schools has combined the Ministry of Education program Ready, Set, Learn with our locally developed Early Learning for Families program (ELFF). Ready, Set, Learn is a school readiness initiative for 3 year olds sponsored by the Ministry of Education. Schools are encouraged to provide participating families with information about school early learning programs or services and any additional items to influence school readiness. . ELFF is a district program for parents and children 3-5 years old (who are not already in Kindergarten). It is designed to help families with preschoolers make early connections with their neighborhood school. Research has shown that when parents are involved in their children's education, their children do better. Our ELFF/Ready, Set, Learn programs will include sharing, engaging and fun learning opportunities for families with young children and encouraging interactive play and curious conversation. Please check below for the dates that your neighbourhood school is offering this program and please contact your school for the time of their event and instructions on how to register.
