Central Okanagan Public Schools is subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of BC (FIPPA) and the School Act of BC when handling personal information. We strive to be transparent about the management of personal information in our custody/control, while ensuring it is protected.

Provincial Oversight 

The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of BC (OIPC) provides independent oversight and enforcement of BC's access and privacy laws for public sector organizations. Their website is an excellent source of information regarding protection of privacy, and FIPPA legislation in BC.
