StrongStart is a free drop-in early learning program for children aged 0 to 5 years (prior to entry into kindergarten) who are accompanied by their parents or caregivers. It is the beginning of a special partnership between families and schools.

Registration for the StrongStart program is available online on our District registration website:enrollment.sd23.bc.ca/

If you are new to the StrongStart program, please register online here.

PLEASE NOTE: From January 23 to February 13, our online registration system for StrongStart will be unavailable due to district-wide kindergarten registrations.

During this time, please register by completing and emailing the digital registration form (to complete on a computer) or printing the regular PDF version (to complete by hand). Once completed, you may email the form along with one legal document listed below, or drop it off at the school’s main office.

There are eight StrongStart locations; please ensure you email your documents to the school/StrongStart site you wish to attend.

Once registered for the StrongStart program, you will receive a confirmation email requesting that you submit one of the required legal documents for your child/children via email:

  • Canadian birth certificate, OR
  • Canadian passport, OR
  • Indigenous Status card (SCIS)

The online registration asks for several pieces of identification (needed for K-12) but you need only ONE piece to register for StrongStart. If you have difficulty completing the online registration, please visit our drop-in StrongStart centres and we can help you with registration in person.
