TRANSPORTATION FEES & PAYMENTS

 

If the student has been assigned a seat on the school bus route, the Transportation Fee will be applied to the parents School Cash Online account.

 

Payment in full or monthly payments must be set up within 30 days of the student being assigned to a bus route. Payments may be applied by credit or debit card through the parents School Cash Online account.

 

Fees may also be paid by cash or cheque in person at our School Board Office located at 1040 Hollywood Road South, Kelowna. 

 

Payment options: Due within 30 days of the student being assigned to a bus route

·         Pay in full by credit card or

·         Pay Pro-rated equal monthly installments.

 

Conditions for Transportation:

·         Fees for the previous year must be paid in full before the student can be assigned to a bus route in the next school year.

·         Non-payment or breach of payment arrangements may result in your child being removed from the bus route.​

 

As per Policy 470R;

Article 22) Failure to pay the transportation charge or follow payment arrangements may result in the removal of service.

Family Ridership Annual cost per student based on the number of children assigned to a bus route ​

There is no additional cost for families with five (5) or more children assigned to a bus route.

​Fees are pro-rated based​ on the number of months transportation is required.​​

SUBSIDY - WAIVER OF FEES

Any board that charges fees must have a financial hardship policy in place to help families who require assistance. Parents may apply for a fee subsidy for school fees and/or transportation fees in two ways;

 

1. Exceptional Circumstances (Section B on the Subsidy Form)

Families that are experiencing exceptional circumstances may contact their school principal for approval of the application. Once the form is signed by the school principal, it shall be sent by email to subsidy@sd23.bc.ca

 

2. Families that are under the income thresholds listed under Section C of the subsidy form may provide their households proof of income statement from Canadian Revenue Agency. The form and proof of income statement can be sent by email to Subsidy@sd23.bc.ca
