How can a Student be successful in Math  ?

1.      Do not miss any class time and arrive to class on time.  If one school day
is missed, the student is expected to see the teacher the next school day
and satisfactorily complete any missed assignment or test.  Phoning a
      friend is recommended.

2.      Concentrate during class and ask questions when you do not
understand.  Use class time wisely.  This is an opportunity to ask your
teacher questions about topics you find difficult.

3.      Keep up to date on your work.  This is your responsibility!  Homework should be completed the day it is assigned; that way a student can get help on the questions they do not understand before the next class.

4.      Spend as much time reviewing, as you need to fully understand all topics when preparing for tests and quizzes.  Study the questions or topics you find most difficult; do not spend your time doing questions you know over and over.

5.      Keep your notes neat and organized; these are a very important reference when studying.

6.      Extra help is available from your teacher, do not let your Math “slide”

7.      Students must be respectful to the teacher, classmates, school and classroom.  Behaviour in the classroom should reflect a serious and responsible attitude where the student strives to reach his/her potential.
