The Grade 4 classes are now learning how to play the recorder. For many, this is their very first "real" instrument! Students will need to practice approximately 10 minutes per day - 4 days a week to practice the songs Ms. Tisher has assigned in music. Don't forget to bring your recorder every week!
Cleaning & care suggestions: Please wash your recorder before playing for the first time (and wash it every two or three weeks t You can also go to www.joytunes.com to play recorder games - but you need your parent's permission and email first!hereafter). Take recorder apart (3 parts) and let soak in warm soapy water for about 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water and let air dry.
Also, it is important to dry the inside of your recorder out after each use. Please attach a soft cloth to the cleaning rod and gently push rod through the parts (except for the mouth piece).
Please let me know if you have any trouble opening these files. We are concentrating on learning notes B, A and G - these songs reinforce these notes. Happy Practicing!
