School District No. 23 (Central Okanagan), a public education system within the Province of British Columbia, operates an educational web site on the World Wide Web under the name of SD23Net. The educational purpose of SD23Net is limited and includes the use of the system for curriculum delivery, development and implementation, professional development, classroom instructional activities, information literacy programs, student career programs, and limited high-quality self-discovery activities.

Access to Electronic Information Resources
Similar to all learning resources provided within District schools, School District No. 23 has in place a process for reviewing and recommending electronic information resources. In selecting external sites to be placed on the District web site and school web sites, all electronic information resources will be selected consistent with Provincial curriculum guidelines, and district-adopted guidelines and procedures. All electronic information resources should support and enrich the curriculum while taking into account the varied instructional needs, learning styles, abilities and developmental levels of the students.
