Aboriginal Advocate:
Applicants must have a good understanding of the Aboriginal Culture, have demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal secondary students and their parents, and have successfully completed Grade 12 plus one year post-secondary to include courses in psychology, sociology, etc., Human Service Worker Course, or equivalent

Bus Driver:
Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 B.C. Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement, and have proven prior related work experience.

Certified Education Assistant:
Applicants must have successfully completed the Education Assistant program at Okanagan College, or an equivalent course; have successfully completed Grade 12 (or equivalent), and have at least six month’s experience in a similar position.

Clerical / Office Administration:
Applicants must have successfully completed Grade 12; have six month’s secretarial training (Office Administration Program) at a community college or vocational school; previous related secretarial experience; net typing speed of fifty (50) words per minute.

Computer Technician:
Applicants must have successfully completed the minimum of a two-year Computer Information Systems diploma program or a comparable course; have current certification as either CNE or MCSE in addition to related work experience; successfully completed Grade 12 or equivalent.

Custodian:
Applicants must have completed Grade 10; successfully completed the Custodial Worker Course at Okanagan College or comparable course, and/or have at least two year’s experience in the application of modern custodian methods and procedures required for school district plants.

Grounds and Labourer:
Applicants for Grounds Worker must have landscaping, fencing and general grounds work experience. Applicants for Labourer must have previous experience in construction.

Maintenance Worker - Irrigation:
Applicants for Maintenance Worker - Irrigation will install and maintain irrigation systems. Other duties include grounds maintenance, playground equipment maintenance, etc.

Sign Language Interpreter:
Applicants must have completed grade 12; must be a graduate of an accredited interpreter training program; must have previous experience interpreting in an educational setting; must have experience working with deaf students with language delays; must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be willing to work collaboratively as a member of the IEP (Individual Education Program) team.

StrongStart Facilitator:
Applicants must have completed Grade 12 and possess a certificate, preferable a diploma in Early Childhood Education; must possess a current Community Care Facilities Branch BC License to Practice; possess a valid Child Safe First Aid Certificate; possess or acquire Food Safe certification.
