The Central Okanagan School District posts jobs on-line through Make a Future. By applying to the Central Okanagan School District your application will be available to the Human Resources Department for consideration.

 Aboriginal Advocate

​Applicants must have a good understanding of the Aboriginal Culture, have demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal secondary students and their parents, and have successfully completed Grade 12 plus one year post-secondary to include courses in psychology, sociology, etc., Human Service Worker Course, or equivalent.

​Applicants must have successfully completed the Education Assistant program at Okanagan College, or an equivalent course; have successfully completed Grade 12 (or equivalent), and have at least six month’s experience in a similar position.

 Summer Student Applicants

 

School District No. 23 (Central Okanagan) is inviting applications from full time university or college students for summer employment.
                                                                                                                                            
Position Description:
 
Students are employed for the period of May through August in our Operations Department performing a variety of laboring duties:
 
·         Grass cutting and grounds maintenance at our 45 facilities
·         Painting of structures and buildings
·         Assisting trades in a laboring capacity
 
Hour of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The rate of pay is currently $17.37 per hour.
 
Qualifications:
 
Physically fit to perform laboring duties
Valid BC driver’s license

 

 Summer Student Applicants must indicate:
    • That they are in attendance at a university, college or secondary school on a full-time basis during the current year
    • Their field of study
    • That they will be attending a post-secondary institution full-time for the following school year. (Provide a letter of confirmation)
