School District No. 23 is pleased to partner with Okanagan College,Central Okanagn Economic Development Commission, SIFE and our business community to provide students with a wonderful opportunity to look outside of the mainstream when considering a career path. Thinking about the benefits of going into business for themselves fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among the students that is inspiring to watch as the teams present their innovative ideas to panels of judges from the community.
The Dragons’ Den Young Entrepreneur Competition also provides our students the opportunity to work with members of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise). The mentoring that our students receive from these young Okanagan College business students is a real benefit to them as they consider making a career for themselves in the world of small business.
School District No. 23’s joint partnership with the community represents our commitment to developing Career Life Program opportunities that will ensure that our students are well prepared as they move forward with their life plans for the future.
